| Access From Bangkok on your own vehicle, getting to Ban Phe, Rayong province, takes just two and a half hours, or only an hour drive from Pattaya. By bus, public air-conditioned bus leaves Eastern Bus terminal in Bangkok hourly. The fare costs 124 baht a person for three and a half hours journey. Samed is 6.5 kilometres away from Ban Phe. Starting from 6.00 am. till 5.00 pm, ferry to Samed takes just half a hour. The ticket cost 50 baht a person. Pick-up car service is always available for getting around the island. |
