The Baiyoke
Sky Hotel, rising 88 storeys above Bangkok skyline, is Thailand's tallest
and Bangkok's most scenic hotel. The hotel is strategically located in
the heart of downtown Bangkok, surrounded by bustling market and various
entertainment attractions. While enjoying the spectacular views of the colorful city from the artistically built hotel or haggling around in the famous Pratunam Area, there is also easy access to the shopping paradise like World Trade Center, Peninsula Plaza, Gaysorn Plaza, Sogo Department Store and MBK, which are approachable within fifteen minutes walk. General Hotel's Information : - The building is 309 metres tall or about the height of 182 people standing one of the top of the other. (Total 88th floor) - There are all together 2,060 steps from the bottom to the top. It takes over one hour to reach the top. - There are 1,740 windowpanes in the building. About the same number of windowpanes can be used for over 200 townhouses. - The piling run 65 metres deep underground, about the height of a 22 storey building. - The area inside the building is 179,400 square metres, or about 30 football fields. |
